MINISTRY HISTORY

I am a preacher. Each week I spend many hours preparing sermons which are Biblical. My file of 20,000 illustrations helps make the message interesting. I also enjoy creating, leading and building.

The Sunday morning attendance in the Birmingham, AL, church was 60 when I began there and 125 when I left three years later. The Colorado Springs, CO, church was 100 in attendance when I began and 1000 when I left. I led the church in relocating to 18 acres of land and building a 54,000 square foot building.

When I began in Tempe, AZ, the attendance was 400. The attendance averaged 2500 on Sunday morning when I left in November 1995. During the time I was pastor we purchased additional land, built four buildings and purchased an entire shopping center that was remodeled for our use. The church now has 136,000 square feet of space on 20 acres.

I enjoy leading a staff. When I left Bethany there were ten pastors on our staff, and we employed 125 people.

After I left Bethany I started 21st Century Ministries, a church consulting firm. I regularly meet with church boards and church staffs for consultations. I have done consultations with churches in Albuquerque, NM, Stockton, CA, Manteca, CA, Los Gatos, CA, Phoenix, AZ, Glen Ellen, IL and Ontario, Canada. I also maintain a counseling ministry through 21st Century Ministries.

From June 1996 until June 1997 I was the interim pastor of Mission Springs Community Church in Fremont, California. Each Saturday I flew to California, and I returned to Tempe each Tuesday. They lost their founding pastor in April 1996. During my year of ministry I helped the church stabilize and heal. They hired a pastor in June 1997.

I served several years as the pastor of Hilltop Community Church in Lake Havasu City, AZ. In March, 2010, I became the pastor of Faith Community Church in Chandler, AZ (Phx area, Dobson Rd., between Ray Rd/Warner Rd.).
